Can I change my personality?
Sure you can. You can change the way in which you think about things or
how you act slowly over time. Cognitive behavioral therapy is the best
route as it requires both the modification of your thoughts and
behavior. It can be difficult to change certain elements of your
personality depending on how strong they are. Falling back onto old
habits after a while is also common, but doesn't represent a failure to
change if you examine what caused you to fall back, and then make
appropriate adjustments. But you also should be careful as it could harm
you, depending on what you're trying to change.
