In previous article, we know there are 7 ways to get into Windows 10 safe mode, and introduced 4 common ways. But, if we cannot login desktop, or cannot start up Windows system, how do we get into Windows 10 safe mode?

Let's take a look and see the last 3 ways we can get into Safe Mode in Windows 10.
5, Boot from a recovery drive
A recovery drive can help you refresh or reset your PC, or to troubleshot problems, even when it can’t restart. You can refer this to learnhow to create a Win 8/8.1/10 recovery drive.
Once you have created a USB recovery drive, use it to boot your Windows 10 device and, when you're asked to load its content, do so.

7 Ways to Start Windows 10 in Safe Mode - Part 1

After using Windows 10 system for a while, you may find that it is impossible to get in safe mode in the old ways (the ways boot into safe mode for Windows 7). 
How can we login Windows 10 safe mode especially when we fail to login Windows 10 desktop? 
As I know there are 7 ways:
1, Use System Configuration Tool (msconfig.exe)
2, Use Advanced Startup options in Settings
3, Use the “Shift + Restart” combination
4, Use shutdown command with options
5, Boot from a recovery drive
6, Boot from installation drive
7, Use Automatic Repair mode

If you can log in desktop, you can use 1, 2, 3 and 4 methods.
If you cannot log in desktop, you can use 5, 6 and 7 methods.

Let's take a look and see all the ways we can get into Safe Mode in Windows 10.
1, Use System Configuration Tool (msconfig.exe)
This is the common way for all Windows versions.
1) Press Win + R, type msconfig.exe to open System Configuration

Sometimes we need to boot into Windows Safe Mode, which is a stripped-down version of the Windows system, loading only the most essential files and drivers. It’s a method of eliminating as many variables as possible, and to ensure that the issue doesn’t originate at this most basic level. It is also a great place to scan for virus, for instance.

How to boot into Windows Safe Mode? There are 3 ways to start Windows 7 in safe mode.
1, Use System Configuration Tool (msconfig.exe)
2, Press F8 Before the Windows 7 Splash Screen
3, Boot from installation drive



1, Use System Configuration Tool (msconfig.exe) If you can boot into Windows successfully, this is the easiest way to get into Windows 7 system Safe Mode.
1) Press Win + R, type msconfig.exe to open System Configuration

2) Click or tap Boot tab
3) Tick Safe boot option
4) Click OK to save the changes

The next time you reboot Windows 7, it will go straight into the Safe Mode.
