HOW CAN WE KNOW THE CURRENT STATE OF HEALTH OF THE LAPTOP BATTERY?

In fact, it is very simple, no need to install any tools, and you can know the health of the battery in 3 simple steps. Let’s get started.

STEP 1. OPEN COMMAND PROMPT

Press the key combination Win+r on the keyboard to open the Run window, then type the following command and press the Enter key on the keyboard or click the OK button.

STEP 2. CREATE BATTERY HEALTH REPORT

Type the following command in the Command Prompt and press Enter key. Windows system will create a battery report named battery-report.html and save it to C:\Users\your name\

STEP 3. CHECK THE BATTERY HEALTH

Open C:\Users\your name\ and find the file battery-report.html. Open it with your browser. In the second section Installed batteries, we only need to pay attention to the last three items.

• Design capacity, as the name suggests, it refers to the initial capacity of the battery.

• Full charge capacity, it refers to the current capacity.

• Cycle count, in general, one battery charge cycle equals a full charge to 100% of the battery and 0% of full use.

Looking at the battery of my notebook, the Full Charge Capacity divided by the Design Capacity equals the attenuation of the battery.
